PEARL HARBOR DAY OBSERVANCE

On December 7th, American Legion Post 166, Goose Creek held a Pearl Harbor Day Observance Ceremony remembering the 69th Anniversary of that Famous Day In Infamy.

Twenty-three (23) WWII Veterans were honored for their service, 3 of them being Pearl Harbor Survivors. Fourteen (14) Active Duty Sailors from the Naval Weapon Station took part in the ceremony that brought both the old and the new together fo

r a truly memorable evening. The oldest veteran was presented an American Flag

by the youngest Sailor present, which brought those present to their feet.  The Post Honor Guard provided Military Honors.  A ten-piece band provided music from the 40s that was greatly appreciated by our honored guest.
