National Commander Marty Conatser was given the privilege of addressing the joint session of the SC House and Senate on March 4, 2008
Each year, the Department Commander picks two SC Legislators that have gone above and beyond the call of duty on behalf of Veterans and Legionnaires in South Carolina. This year, Senator Wes Hayes and Representative Lonnie Hosey were chosen and were honored with a reception on March 4, 2008 at the Clarion Townhouse.
